The present article analyzes the dispute between two models of globalization. On one hand, neoliberal globalization presents itself as an extension of neoliberalism on the international level. This, in turn, emerges as a radical reformulation of classical liberalism, with market competition as its epistemic axis. In this model of a globalized world, as a consequence, national states compete for privileged positions in the International Division of Labor. However, the limitations on state action prescribed by neoliberals make it impossible for underdeveloped countries to improve their position in this dispute. On the other hand, an alternative model of globalization emerges, derived from the New Projectment Economy, the current stage of Chinese socialism, which combines Marxist revolutionary theory with the millennial Confucian philosophy. This union results in an international community perspective guided by the principles of shared prosperity and common good, where nations cooperate to develop together, respecting each other's particularities. The clash between these globalization models will be understood as part of the conflict between two distinct socio-economic formations: financialized capitalism and the New Projectment Economy.
