The current research has the general objective of presenting the concept of projectment in the work of Ignácio Rangel (1914-1994) applied to current Chinese socialism. It is known that the economist Rangel developed the concept of projectment to describe projects developed in planned economies, such as the Soviet Union. However, in socialist China, the concept conceived by Rangel was reborn and gained momentum. The party responsible for this feat is the Communist Party of China (CPC), which has been established since 1949 as the historical bloc of dominant political power in the country, managing to maintain its planned economy and, consequently, creating great benefits for society in the 21st century. However, in order to bring to light the concept that is reviving in the Asian country, an exploratory methodology is established with the bibliographic field as fundamental support. The article is divided into three points: I) to present dialectics as a philosophical method for understanding the dynamics of the current Chinese political economy, which serves as a basis for understanding the rebirth of projectment; II) explain how the projectment economy is reborn in Chinese socialism, with the current particularities of the Asian country that relate to Rangelian thought; III) comment on the relationship between projectment and technical progress in Chinese socialism.
