Based on the concept of hegemony, this article seeks to relate the multipolar dynamics in the international order with the Chinese project of national devel- opment. We intend to describe the Chinese internal situation — with the new projectment economy — and find a synthesis for the concept of hegemony in the current international context. Our purpose is to contribute to the deep- ening of theoretical knowledge about socialism. A brief historical contextual- ization of the Chinese development process will be made in an initial section. Subsequently, the article will seek to introduce a set of concepts so that it can be possible to find a synthesis. With this contribution we intended to add, or begin, a reflection around the concept of hegemony in the new multipolar era. It is also concluded that there is possibility for a more in-depth analysis that combines the theoretical-practical method based on economic and military data, which are the pillars of hegemony in international space.
