This study addresses the sociopolitical profile of political elites in Bahia, focusing on the comparative analysis between Carlism and Lulism, power groups that played a leading role in the political representation of the state after the promulgation of the 1988 Federal Constitution. To understand this representative duality, the table included governors, federal deputies and senators elected in nine electoral processes between the years 1990 and 2022. The research used descriptive statistics and was collected through the Open Data Portal of the Superior Electoral Court of Brazil. The unit of observation corresponded to individual biographies and the unit of analysis were the representatives of Carlism (PFL\DEM\UNIÃO) and Lulism in Bahia (PT). The results show that even linked to different ideological spectrums, the profiles of Carlists and Lulists are similar in terms of recruitment, expressing the overrepresentation of men, with a high level of education and from liberal professions, converging with the national elites.
