The present research is part of a broader ongoing project titled “Analysis of social inequality in Londrina: continuous reading linking social and economic indicators”. It delves into a specific field that recognizes the nuances of gen- der inequality and its impacts on women’s health. The underlying premise is that the analysis and handling of social and epidemiological indicators enable the apprehension and proposition of policies for improving women’s health conditions. Considering that individuals fall ill based on their material living conditions and that women have specificities, the objective of this research is to understand the relationship between social inequality and health condi- tions in the municipality of Londrina. This involves defining indicators that intersect with gender, specific aspects of illness for women, and the resulting impacts on the level of access to health services. Facing these issues, in explor- ing the health and illness processes of women, the adopted methodology was based on a robust review of the topic, conducting a qualitative and quantitative research from secondary sources. In conclusion, the results indicated that, al- though improvements in health programs and services have been significant, gender disparities in health persist at both the national and municipal levels.
