Abstract

This text aims to do a critical analysis of the main challenges faced by the new Lula government in his third term as President of the Republic. We discuss the importance of this study considering how a government needs to be able to clarify the priorities of its actions and the difficulties in carrying them out. Furthermore, we attempt to analyze these challenges, distinguishing their emergency character and their short-term conjuntural or long-term structural nature, with special emphasis on the challenge of sustainable development. We also try to discuss the internal relationships between different challenges, not just their peculiarities.
