This article seeks to reconstruct the facts that shaped the mobilization that broke out in Brazil in June 2013. Based on press releases and research carried out at the time, the narrative pursues the motivations, social composition, steps, claims and controversies of the movement. A prospect of the disputes between different political streams is also presented, particularly in the second and third phases of the move- ment, in a description which concludes with the subsequent developments, in order to clarify what the different political orientations — on the right wing and on the left wing — made afterwards, based upon the episode.
